So i felt adventurous to see what DOTCO is offering, and ventured to their website... THE WEBSITE IS CRAWLING... is telkom blocking it by any chance ?

Woulnt surprise me! :p

Just spoke to Dotco/Allyoucaneat, they are still charging their current customers and any new customers by the new telkom billing structure from 1st november including hard capping. This is understandable because if they lose the case they will be retroactively charged for the bandwidth used and they will be screwed. Sucks though, caus it means the actuall benefit of this minor victory to us the end users is 0.

seems a "reasonable" safety measure on their part ... but will they "refund" you if they win the case ... IMHO, they should do!

They will be, but personally i don't want to be out of pocket for over R1000 which i "might" get back. AND local capping will still apply

I don't see how they can do it any differently. Why should they charge any less? They can't be expected to take a knock like that if they should lose. They should be commended for having the balls to take on the monopoly.

They won't lose the case, but I can understand why they would charge the new prices. Hopefully it will only be for a month and a bit.
