Durban - A man linked to a double murder in Paulpietersburg in KwaZulu-Natal was arrested on Friday, police said.
He was picked up after refusing to stop his car during a police operation in the early hours, Lieutenant Vincent Mdunge said.
Mdunge said two occupants in the car shot at a police car before they were cornered.
"The suspect’s vehicle stopped and one suspect was arrested while the other one ran away," he said.
When police searched the car they found a goat in the boot believed to have been stolen in the area.
The arrested man had been linked to the murder of Bongani Thwala and Nokuthula Khanyile who were shot dead during an armed robbery last month.
