So rain isp uses double nat or cgnat.
In either case I can not use my public IP address to gain access to my router or home network. My router even gives my another so called public IP that I can also not use to access my home network.

That being said. Is it more difficult for hackers to enter my system or more impossible for them, seeing as my public IP is not directly attached to my PC?

That depends on your definition of hacking. If you go download the.big.bang.theory.s05e03.exe then Rain's CGNat is not going to make a difference from a security perspective.

The plus side is that script kiddies won't be able to access your router directly as you pointed out.

Thank you.
I disabled my routers firewall setting. I have a VPN, I have antivirus bundled with a firewall.
My rain service seemed more stable today.
