Anyone else having issues with their ADSL line since the 8th of January?

There was a storm on the 8th of January and it hit my line, taking with it my Apple Time Capsule.

Since then I have been getting around 1.3mbps on my 10meg line (connection continuously dropping). On Saturday it improved to around 5.3mbps but it is not near the levels I was getting prior to the storm (7.3 and up).

Had a Telkom tech come around but he could not find the fault, says that they may try moving me over to a different port at the exchange but couldn't do it at the time due to it being a Sunday.

I can deal with speeds of 7mbps and up but paying for a 10meg line and getting half of that is just a waste of money.

Wish they would just role out fibre here :-(

FYI (I have multiple VOX Fatpipe accounts for my ISP)

Yes, I'm in the same boat in Olivedale, just around the corner.
I didn't have a direct strike, but something is seriously amiss and my 10Mb ADSL is unusable at under 1Mb.

It has finally motivated me to cancel my line and move to LTE.

What aggravates me is that my coverage map now states that I live in a 4mb area but I have a screenshot of the same map from September stating its a 10mb area...

Its one thing to not upgrade the infrastructure but to let it degrade to the point where the service offering degrades just upsets me.
