Hi

My two year 3G 500 Meg contract is expiring. I took the bundled package that includes the data card. Now that I have the card, I want to downgrade to the R189 p.m. contract.

This simple message is impossible to convey to the Vodacom call centre!

The send me around and around endlessly. Does anyone know how to get this simple request done?

Go to a Vodacom store and tell them you want to add a new package, seeing that your previous one has expired, they will not charge you any downgrade fee.

Did mine thourgh Nashua Mobile a while ago...took forever to get them to understand by anyway, got it resolved. So here is a idea:

Terminate your existing two year contract. If you have a separate / existing mobile contract with VC, get a data sim and add a Add-hoc bundle to that account...that will allow how to not only have one bill every month, but you can also share the available data on the two sim cards...works like a charm...

B, take my advice on this one, cancel the contract entirely and use 500MB pre-paid data bundles instead for ZAR189.00 - PPDBs have realtime data usage monitoring whilst CDBs do not, also PPDBs are hard-capped by the amount of airtime you load onto your pre-paid SIM Card.

Thanks for all the advice! I think I will go with ic's suggestion. Cheers.
