Downgrade Vodacom Contract

Hi,

I'm starting a new job where they will be providing me a cellphone. I need to downgrade my personal contract. Currently paying R999 for Red Advantage. No longer need such an expensive contract as I will no longer use my phone for work.

Any advice?

Did you get a device with the contract? How long left on the contract?

There will be a downward migration fee if you are still in contract. This fee will depend on what contract you are migrating too. You could do the following also:

1. Request that they rather give you a monthly cell phone allowance that gets paid with your salary every month.
2. Do a transfer of ownership from your name into the company's name, so they effectively become ressponsible for paying your account every month. Should you leave the company, you will need to do a transfer back into your name.
