how much is it to downgrading from 1024k to 512k?

Well from 1st August it is the same price

Not quite - 512 is currently R477.00 - from 1 Aug 1024 will be R516.00 (while 512 goes to R362.00). http://www.telkom.co.za/athome/products/dsl/home_reduced.html
