I'm planning to downgrade DSTV from premium to easy view for roughly a month as I'm not going to be around much to actually watch it. Was wondering a couple of things:
1. If you don't do this for a calendar month, will I get charged a pro-rata amount based on the portion of the month I was on each package? Or am I going to end up with some weird double charge.
2. Any other downsides to doing this (vaguely remember you have to call the call-centre to either down or upgrade, can't remember which)?

I know you are limited in terms of how often you can do it, but only really planning to do it once.

No, I do it often. I live in England part of some years and just call them and they suspend it. I seem to recall a R50,00 fee, but not sure as I don't have a statement to hand. When you want it back, just call them and its on in a few seconds

Call the call centre to do it
You'll be charged pro-rata per day you are on each package
The R50 fee only comes in if you downgrade twice in a billing cycle
