I have a procall 120 contract with MTN that is a little over a year old. I've realised that I'm just not making full use of the contract and would actually prefer to move back onto my pay as you go (or a mytopup type contract). When it comes to cancelling a contract, will the penalties basically be 'remaining months X R299' ? i.e. i'm going to have to pay for my contract in full either way?
i mean i've basically paid off the value of the phone after month 11, so i'm not even sure what the remaining monthly charges are going to be covering (besides the 120 free minutes which i won't even get close to using up)

You would have to phone MTN and ask I guess?

IIRC there are going to be new laws to this cancellation of contract thing, where you don't have to pay the full remaining subscriptions, but just a cancellation fee. Maybe someone else knows more...

ye, will do - just wanted to find out here first before having to be read the "how-to-retain-keep-your-customer-on-their-contract" script by some sales person.
