download speeds

what speeds do you guys get downloading on a 384kb line?:erm:

On WA trial I'm getting around 35kB/s.

How do you get this? On n 384k line max download is, by definition, 384kbps (or 48kBps)

I did not work it out.

Been to a few clients with 384k lines, all of them Max out at 38.4 or 39k per sec.

Of all the 384k lines, I have not seen ANY go higher than 40k, if higher, then it would only be a spike or some 3rd party download manager calculating the speed wrong.

so on a 512K line what would it be? 51.2kb/s??

Some 512k lines sync at 640k, so the max speed will be in the region of 64kb/s

Yeah, max speed you'll get on a 384kbps line is around 40kBps down and 10kBps up.

I once got 81 kBps on my 512 line using firefox on a local site how was that possible?
