I dont think the people who stick to dial up because its "uncapped" have much of an argument anymore, its just too slow and the fact that you can only use it after 7, and the prices keep going up for dial up (or R7 call, now almost R11) while they come down for most broadband services.

but you still see some people saying they arent going to get ADSL because of the high prices and caps, yet they use dial up...

I agree. I had dialup for a few years and I'm really glad I switched to broadband. As for the cap, I think 3Gig is enough if you're not a download junkie.

I think it must be utter frustration to try and surf the web on dial-up nowadays, most sites are all geared towards broadband. Maybe if you just want to check email, dial-up might still work.

These days dialup isn't good fora anything. For those who just wan to check e-mail, there are broadband packages that offer 100mb cap at just R199 a month.
