Downloading & Copying Propriety Data

I'm looking for a source of assistance for the following.
A good friend has a medium size company that supplies imported and locally manufacture equipment itno the dairy industry. A troublesome (Using company vehicle for private & equipment for non company use etc) who has resigned and is suspected of taking such confidential data with him to a competitor.
Is there a member who has experienced this sort of stuff and how was it resolved? Any advice will be much appreciated.

As above get a Lawyer.

They would probably suggest an Anton Pillar order. If the information is in electronic format make sure that the IT company the lawyers work with know how to perform forensic and data recovery in case things have already been deleted.

Michalsons are pretty focused on ICT if you want to go that route.
