What can the cops do about this, realistically?
Presence - are you going to do it if you see cops?
They can't really do much if they're not actually racing at that point - and even then, you can only really charge them with recklessness.
there is nothing wrong with Drag Racing... i have been involved in drag racing for over 15 years and i have been to many many many events.. and it's the stupid people out there that think that are better then others that's spoil the fun for us guys... the cops want us off the streets.. they why doesn't the Goverment build a track for us to go and race.. then things will stop.. i've been a proper racing days ( tarlton ) there have been more accidents there and on proper tracks then on the streets.. yes it's dangerous.. but people are aware of whats going on..
i take my hat off to the police that are doing this to take us off the roads... but do something for us to carry on with the racing...
Legal drags, like at killarney in cpt is nice to watch but not as fun as on the street!![]()
or other tracks out there... the streets have got more rep for a driven then the actualy track.. on the track you come to the race with extra mods and all that.. on the street you race with what you got and that is what makes it interesting to go and watch/race
