Talent tress revealed. Looks good I especially like the rogue options.

I've been able to (mostly) reconstruct the setup of the Talent trees that were shown at the NYCC demo during this past weekend. I wouldn't be surprised if some of this information is already outdated in the current build of DAO, but it should give people a good idea of what to expect for the final game.

Spirit and Rogue..

Not possible. There's no multi class in the game. You can acquire some of the different skills from the classes but you can't have a multi class character.

First play through I will be going with a human noble rogue.

Some of them you can't unlock straight away. for instance the templar one you have to earn in the game for the first playthrough. On a second playthrough you can select it straight away.

Also something to regarding the way talents gets distributed. According to the developers you will 3 talents when you create your character, one of which will automatically be chosen depending on which origin story you chose. For each level there after you earn one talent.

Some talents you can only get through training. For instance a rogue can get archery and dual weapon straight away. But for weapon and shield and two handed he will need training. Only the warrior gets those straight away if you want it. They say that's because those talents are military based and needs special traning which a warrior has but a rogue doesn't from the start/

Please don't tell me Dragon Age is going to be another Diablo clone.

No. BioWare doesn't do hack and slash. Its a crpg think baldur's gate, neverwinter nights. It will have combat but more tactical than diablo and it will have lots of dialogue.

still much more easier to butcher than to sling spells. after neverwinter nights, i never play with a non-tank non "huge damage" dealing player on my first try. and being a bioware game, it means that replay value will be high. so im not worried :)

There are different differences between skills and talents. All characters will get the following skills.

Persuasion, Stealing, Trap-Making, Survival, Herbalism, Poison-Making, Combat Training, and Combat Tactics.

Something else that interest some. If you chose to play as a dwarf you can't play as a mage. According to the faq they are resistant to magic so they can't cast it.
