Dumb question - what is a vanilla machine ?
Sorry my jargon - a machine (PC) with nothing extraordinary about it - if so, get your Drifta exchanged.

Dumb question - what is a vanilla machine ?
I had the same problem - Drifta PC software connecting to Drifta and displaying channels but unable to connect to any channel and show video.
Firmware 2.1.312
Application 1.3.3
On my XP Netbook (XP SP3) running ESET NOD32 5.0.95.0 the application works fine.
On my Win 7 Ultimate Notebook, also running ESET NOD32 5.0.95.0 it does NOT work.
My initial upgrade to ESET 5.0.94.0 caused all sorts of hanging issues when external storage was attached to my XP machine and on reading forums I realised this was a known bug, the resolution of which was to upgrade to 5.0.95.0 on the XP machine. The Win7 machine didn't have these problems so I never upgraded it.
With this Drifta problem I did the following:
1. Uninstalled ESET 5.0.94.0 from the Win 7 machine - after this Drifta worked 100%
2. Installed ESET 5.0.95.0 (since this works with Drifta on the XP machine) - Drifta not working again.
3. Unistalled ESET again and Drifta works.
Now I've installed MSE on the machine and Drifta works. Pity really, ESET *used* to be great - the latest version seems to slow things down and is more buggy. My bad for renewing for another 2 years![]()
Hi
Got my drifta working with Nod32 v5:
In nod32
> Go to "Advanced setup"
> Go to "Web & Email"
> Go to "Protocol filtering"
> Go to "Excluded IP adresses"
> Choose "Enter IPv4 adresses"
> Enter range "192.168.16.0 to 192.168.16.255"
Works on my lappy, made me happy . . . .
