Drifta "service is currently scrambled"

Been getting error "service is currently scrambled" this since yesterday evening (Feb 17). My account was up to date ( only last Saturday I was disconnected because I was overdue - I pay months upfront but get no statements and I missed the date.) It seems that there may be quite a few frustrated people having these issues.

After a despairing 25 minutes unanswered by the call centre google brought me to http://www.facebook.com/DStvMobile?filter=2 and the advice is to
took a needle, and with the drifta already switched on I held the power button down, then briefly pushed a needle through the reset button then let go of the power button.

Then I went to the site (and logged in) and cleared the error code.

Apparently there was a ''signal disruption'' and all of those affected had to phone the call centre to clear the error. It is also necessary to reset the Drifta by inserting a needle into the reset button situated below the on/off switch.
 
The same has happened to me this past weekend and I phoned DSTV Mobile and reported the problem and they reset some settings on their side and it was working again.
 
It has happened twice since and just now the 3rd time. It was a simple fix to go to the website and clear the error code and reset. But now the self service site is down. So I need to phone them and get put on hold. Telkom and the cellular networks must love them.
