do these things ever not start creeping either onto the accelerator or the side?

a number of times they have almost prevented me stopping properly

I know how you feel. I wanted to toss the mat out this morning as it drives me nuts everytime I get into the car its shifted. Its like it does it when the car is not in use.

lol, I have never had it in my car, in the GF's car plenty and it is fark irritating, purchase those stickability mats and your problems should be solved :)

The stock mats that came in my Kia Cerato don't creep - they are prickly underneath and it almost acts like velcro.
Those plain rubber mats on the other hand ...
