I recently acquired the Beta Windows 7 OS, and as glamorous and wonderful as it seems, I am having great difficulty using it to it's fullest potential - all because there doesn't seem to be any iBurst drivers currently available.

Would anyone know either a technical workaround to connect to the internet w/out these drivers (ie. via use perhaps of Vista drivers), or where on the net drivers can be downloaded?

That's perfect. I'm using Vista drivers for all the hardware in my PC that do not have Win 7 drivers available yet. Are you using Windows 7 64 or 32?

Hi all

If you are using Windows 7 32 bit you can utilise the XP drivers for the USB device or the Desktop modem. I have not tried the PCMCIA device as yet.

Hope this helps.

The general rule for Windows 7 is to use Vista drivers if dedicated Windows 7 drivers are are not available. Windows 7 is built on on the Vista code base and utilises Vista drivers until dedicated drivers are available. BTW: You have less than 1 month left before Beta1 of Windows 7 starts it's 2 hour shutdown cycle. Best to install the Release Candidate. Much better. It expires in March 2010. The RTM ( Full Version will be out next month and the public release should be out on the 22nd of October)

Hmm it'll be tight waiting for the RTM to leak instead, but it would also be a waste downloading the RC and then the RTM a few days later, especially on iBurst.

I am successfully running the Vista x64 drivers on my installation of Windows 7 RC.

If you just double-click the install file for the drivers, you will get a error stating that the installation won't run because it doesn't recognise Windows 7 as a valid OS. No problem, just set that file's compatibility mode to Windows XP SP2, the installation will run and copy the drivers to your iBurst Terminal folder in Program Files. Then just open up Device Manager and update the drivers of your iBurst Modem by pointing the wizard to the iBurst Terminal folder, voila, drivers installed and modem ready for use.

Evening all

I have been informed that the Windows 7 drivers should be available within 2 weeks.

Will keep you posted.

The joy of a router ;)...with a little bit of help from the Ethernet modem :p

Morning guys

Please drop me a mail requesting the drivers. They have arrived.

Thanks for your patience.

Checking them out and will let you know which drivers we have received.

Is there a download page for the Windows 7 2Mb Desktop Modem drivers?
Or do you have to mail them?
