Good news about driver's licence chaos in South Africa

The Driving Licence Card Account (DLCA) expects to clear the card printing backlog by end-June 2022 — two months earlier than transport minister Fikile Mbalula had promised.

According to the DLCA, the backlog currently sits at 550,000 cards, and it is running two 12 hour shifts to clear it.

Oh aren't you fsckwits so special at the DLCA

You're crowing about clearing the problem you created.... Numbnuts.

Someone seems scared of a court case being launched against the card system.....

This is a really stupid statement..
If I was doing the job, I would have had more printers on the job months ago..
But then you can't fix stupid..

They think they've fixed stupid, but paying more overtime to get things done that should never have been a problem in the first place.

Their lawyers have probably warned that they will lose the upcoming court case - so they are now scrambling

There is nonlaw that forcs you to renew your license card. Your LICENSE DOESNT EXPIRE... it's a money making racket. Your license expires, you get a fine, throw it in the bin!
