Droid models wit LED Notification ligh

Surely the notification bar already serves that purpose?

Its for people that dont have a LED notification light. So if you are not close to your phone when a message comes through then you wont know about it until your light up your screen. With this...it shows a icon dancing around on your screen when the phone's screen is in standby so when you get back to your phone you will see there is a message on your phone. I am not talking about the notification bar.

I've also often wondered about this - Samsung seems to be leaving this feature off most of their phones lately - no idea why. But it's interesting that Apple also doesn't see it as important.

They will probably do a super shiny "revolutionary" version for the next iphone.
Then claim they invented it.

But most phones kill the screen completely whilst in standby to save battery life and then when you turn it on again you can immediately see the notification bar. That's what I was getting at.

Yes but this is for phones that done have a LED Notification light...so if you are in the kitchen...and your phone is in the bedroom...you get a message whilst in the kitchen...you wont know about it unless you remember to check your phone in case there is a message. With this...the phone will display a sign on your screen without you having to check first. If there aint no message...your screen will be dead and black....if there is a message...it will show a icon moving accross your screen untill you check it.

And your phone only lasts half as long cuz the screen never dies...I'd rather just periodically check in and see if there's anything new.

It does die if there aint no new message....if there is....it dies again once you have checked your message

Be that as it may...I am just happy my defy has a LED noti light. But this app could be usefull for people that does not have one.

If i could wish for one extra feature on my sgs it would be a led light lol. Yes i have BLN but its so buggy most of the time! And id rather have a led light with a range of colours. Such a simple thing I dont know why manufacturers dont implement it

I've changed the colours, so I guess so? In whatsapp alone I can select tons of colours... Just fiddle around with the phone, download apps, whatever :D
Thanks man. I learn new feature everyday, even though I've had the phone for 2 months now.

BLN seems more eligant to me. Looks awesome on my SGS:)

If you have a notification you're going to pick your phone up, no matter what it is. I guess coloured LED's will save you a second or two.

HTC Sensation has one...sadly i cannot set the color... either only green or only orange...

green if something is waiting for me and orange when the batt is low/charging

You get apps that can change it. WhatsApp for example lets you choose the colour for WhatsApp notifications inside the WhatsApp settings.

You can change it to any color you like but it still stays green.........

Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using MyBroadband Android App

Lol Jou Ma se Motorola man. HTC's rocking it ;)

My Desire S has an LED. Also only green or orange. And WhatsApp does have a colour-change option but then a little pop-up... pops up and lets you know that "your device only supports the colour green."
