Drone on a plane (SAA)

Don't do that, lithium fires can't be easily extinguished by surpression systems in the aircraft hold. There's a reason that lithium batteries are not allowed to be shipped as bulk cargo on passenger flights...

Exactly why they need to be separated as I stated.

But you are right I flipped it around, should go in hand luggage not checked in luggage.
 
It might have been ambiguous, but it was definitely wrong. A drone battery is always lithium. The quick thinking add on about AA batteries in the remote was quite clever though :whistle:.
Both my Spektrum remotes take Sanyo Eneloop AAs, so I can only speak from experience. Guess I'm not as hardcore as you guys.
