Drop it like its hot : the MTN way

Is it me or does alot of MTN off-peak call get drop alot? Between 7 and 12 call are dropping like mad! Last Saturday 80% of my calls were dropped.(Serious).Internet was jumping from edge to hsdpa up and down.

(Just want to know if its a general problem before I go to the coverage desk AGAIN)

Especially in primarily residential areas, where there would be must less traffic during working hours.

But then again there should NEVER be dropped calls. I don't for a second believe any of the network operators statistics!

Yes and its MTN to start of with,and people talk bad about Cell C lol...I get coverage from about 10 towers (+/- 2 others found via CB 900:rolleyes:) so i just can't believe that all 10 can be that busy.

Agreed, but, and I have no connection to a cell company, a very real problem is getting permision to erect a tower. This is neccssary as the only way to reduce congestion is to reduce the number of connections to a tower and this is done by erecting more towers, each with a smaller footprint, which in fact means less transmitter power. The irony of people not giving tower permission is that they argue that the the transmitter is doing horrible things to them, but allowing more towers would reduce the signal, not increase it!

Yes true,thats what the mtn guys told me,thou there are alot of towers around me.Vodacom tower ratio to mtn towers are the same.(the main tower I get mtn on is the same tower of Vodacom also:they are shared which is less than a km away)
 
Nah 0% dropped calls for me on MTN. So I can't add anything!
