For the past two weeks, me and my business partners have been experiencing consistent dropped calls on our Vodacom phones. We can't finish a single conversation without the phones cutting out.

Vodacom is unaware of any network issues and seem to think it is linked to (all) our individual devices.

Is it just us?

Move to MTN the Bozza network.. Best network in the country by far.

Correct.
But they all suck.

Perhaps your business partners are trying to hint at the fact that your calls to them are always too long? Have you considered that?

Some possible solutions:

Try and switch from 5G/4G to "3G/2G" on one of the phones, and thereafter on two of the phones, and try a few test calls. (This will temporarily disable VoLTE functionality, which could make the testing as clearcut as possible.)

Alternatively, connect to a MiFi dongle (or any WiFi network) and attempt calls over VoWiFi, but take note: The sim card in the phone has be registered/provisioned for VoWiFi service.

Alternatively, try calling on WhatsApp or a similar service. (Unfortunately, those calls can still be interrupted whenever you are receiving network calls.)

Are they all different devices? I assume so.
Dropped calls are a staple of mobile networks. Especially when on the move.

@SoFrustrated -I am reminded of a fact often overlooked, in this type problem in spite of all the comments you have had.
If your call is initiated (Tx) to any ON NET recipient you should not have issues, but when your call leave your NETWORK into any other OFF NET destination then issues normally arise on the OFF NET exchange point. When calls leave your NETWORK you are at the mercy of useless VOIP and trashy cell networks etc. So changing to another is not the answer....!!!

Have a Vodacom contract phone, two clients could not call me on my Vodacom phone, and eventually tried the landline to get hold of me. My phone never peeped, don't have missed call indicators nothing.

Such is life.

They just not aware how rubbish their network has become.
MTN the network I would say is way better but the customer service is pretty much a disgrace…
