So whos to blame regarding dropped calls?
Since using a N82 its the first ive really experienced dropped calls its sucks, I hate it especially when you trying to "end" a call it drops then you have to phone back etc...

But on the other hand when I used SE I never experienced dropped calls calling a Nokia N-series phone....

So whos to blame, the network or The Handset Manufacturer?

I think it's the network.

Last night, I was chatting to a friend, vodacom to vodacom and the calls were dropping every 5-8 minutes. We both had full signal. I thought it was my phone so I changed phones, calls were still dropping... He's using the same phone that's been working fine for two years, so it has to be the network. Also, today the problem seems to have gone away!

Ye which brings me to my next question, after the N82 came back from repairs with the same poor battery life I had to change, took a N95 8gb on Friday and guess what I got a few dropped calls already.

Something I noticed with these phones.
Of all the phones ive used I have NEVER had phones that fluctuates from 3G and GPRS like these 2 phones, on Mxit these phones can go from 3G to GPRS and then 3.5G and then to Edge and then back to 3G in 5 minutes!!!

Its unbelievable I promise you!! The E61i doesnt do it, none of the SEs do, even the HTCs.

That could be the reason for dropped calls no??

So is it network (which I always blamed) or the phones??

Its the phones, you have crappy phones!

I think the problem with the N82 relates to the antennae which is placed at the bottom of the phone , the GPS module is placed at the top where the antennae is normally placed on Nokia phones
