Drove with bonnet unlatched

Hi everyone. So I took my car in for a service today and I drove away from the dealership, drove about 20Km to get home, left the car parked for about an hour and then went I went back I discovered that the bonnet was unlatched and there was something dripping from the front. After I closed the bonnet, the drips stopped. I'm abit worried because I had driven about 20KM with the bonnet unlatched and something was dripping in that time. Would anything have been damaged as a result of driving with the bonnet unlatched and what could have been dripping that stopped after the bonnet was shut?

Just to add, I think the drips were water as it disappeared from the pavement within a minute or 2.

Do you have an aircon? If you do - its most likely that - and normal. If not - check your flux capacitor.

Yes I do. However the aircon was on for a while, but I turned it off 5 minutes before I parked the car and the car was left off for about an hour. When I restarted the car, I discovered the leaking and the air con was off at that time, thats when I discovered the open bonnet. Would the air con still drip water even after the car was parked for over an hour with the air con off?

I just don't understand why instead of looking and trying to find the source of the leak/drip you chose to just close the bonnet, surely the first instinct would be to look inside the engine bay, touch the liquid and smell it to identify it, generally all the things you are expected to do in such a situation?

Based on this thread and all your other threads, you should NOT be driving a car or be on the road. You are a danger to others and yourself IMHO.

I did actually open and check that everything was closed, couldn't quite identify where it was coming from exactly. And just to clarify, I am a lady so I don't really know much about cars.

Unlatching the bonnet cannot possibly cause a leak (its like driving with the door open). Whatever it was is unrelated, and probably harmless. If you are concerned, then check your warning gauges regularly when driving.

Check again in the morning before you worry, if there is still something leaking then, have it checked out.
