Druid thread

Ok, going to take up LW and Enchanting.

Anyone know what stats I should focus on ? Int, spirit and stamina or what :o

kitty is the way to go, no downtime whatsoever, trust me you don't drink at all, I leveled at feral, and you are not gear depended either, as balance it sucks if you have bad luck with spell power gear.

I noticed that in the next patch 3.0.8 they are giving kitties swipe as a 71 skill. I can not tell you how excited I am about this.

Might be able to stay Feral till 80 now.

Just need to find some more dedicated healers for our guild.

Yes, because you ninja all the rogue gear :(

But naturally it helps getting strength/agi/stam gear no?

gear for leveling is a bit of a myth in my opinion, when i dinged level 60 and went to outland i was still stuck with deviate scale belt, and a few level 30-40 greens that I got on my way, any melee dps classes that doesn't require mana to support itself isn't really gear depended especially feral since we don't need to use weapons to increase our dps greatly.

While I don't enchant every green/blue I pickup for leveling, certain upgrades are worth it and last. I'll admit all you need is quest rewards to level through, but c'mon gear speeds things up, you kill mobs a bit faster, you survive a bit longer

pounce , mangle, shred, dead heal yourself , go kitty rinse repeat :P gear helps but not that much it is more about knowing quests and where to do them,

Having poor gear won't kill you while leveling, but it does help to have decent gear. On my new druid I just started Ashenvale when I realised I still had the first chest piece quest reward. My boots and gloves had more armor that the chest :(

There are some items that are useful for a druid though. Wolfshead helm is one, if you don't have Furor. Another is armor rings, at least until the next patch in about 5 days :(

I have very little downtime with Feral as well. Since WotLK, you regen mana faster in forms, so when you shift out to heal, you have enough mana. And with Furor, when you shift back to cat, you have the energy you need. Or have some rage for bear.

It becomes an utter borefest when you don't set goals (yay i'm getting XYZ at level 30 and ABC at 43) ingame, to me acquiring new gear is fun and whats the point of wow without the fun factor

the fun for me starts at level 80 , after you had fun leveling a few chars you pretty much wanna get there. Northrend quests I still enjoyed so much that it forced me to go back to do every quest for loremaster :> but as leveling I dont enjoy lore as much.

I'm going to make a NE druid to return a 2 year healing favour :D

Anyway. I want to play as resto and level as it. Now with that said, would bouncing around in Kitty be ok in Resto, or should I spec Balance instead and play that as it will still be ok if I have +Healing gear for healing.

Decisions Decisions Decisions
Well i am lvling thru Northend as resto my DK is lvl 80 and i am already tired of her for now she tanked all the HCs up to halls of ligthing.

But i feel like change again whent back to my Druid resto soloing suck vs the other 2 specs but is alot better if you spec rigth. But its slow if your ok with that go for it.

Ballance spec will be fine up to UK and nexus normal for healing and kinda heal in the same way as resto.
I am also starting new toon a shamie to compare healing between my Druid/Shaman/Priest so far i like druid healing more but looking like tree al the time suck.

Herd new Druid forms are being worked on just hope they come soon.

Started full Moonkin/Balanced spec druid this weekend. Sitting on 18ding at the moment. I have no interest in resto anyways but wanna make purely castingDPS druid. One things forsure, mana depletes faster than drop of water on a hit tin roof.

At 18ding, you're spell aint to strong yet, be patient till you ding 35/40 then you will like it. Also, one previous poster said mana regen, very important.

So far, I kinda like the balanced spec.
