Hi5 Digital is looking for a experienced Drupal developer for a 4 month contract position, with the possibility to extend to 6 months or become permanent. We are working on a few exciting new projects for a big client, and we need a young dynamic developer to join the team and be part of something big.
Responsibilities
The web developer will be responsible for writing new Drupal code as well as update and change Front-end HTML & CSS.
In close collaboration with our senior developer, he/she will have to unit test the websites and their individual modules, as well as make updates and changes which come from the QA & Testing team.
He/she will integrate complex modules and features from other developers on our code.
Create custom modules, script automated migrations, perform complex Drupal site building, and troubleshoot tough development problems. Would be an advantage.
Help turn design and user interface mock-ups into functional websites, although all of the HTML & CSS will be provided.
Generally be at the forefront of all our development solutions and help to brainstorm new ideas.
Requirements:
IT Related Degree/ Diploma
Minimum 5 years PHP Development experience
Proficient in HTML5 & CSS3
Proficient in PHP, MySQL JavaScript, jQuery, Apache / Linux
Experience in Drupal Framework is a must
Experience in Git
Advantage to have Experience building custom API`s and working with API`s
The ability to write well tested and clean code
Experience in scaling application architecture
Object Oriented Design and Development experience
Need to be familiar with scrum & agile working methodologies
The successful candidate will form a part of a rapidly growing team working on ground breaking new projects.
This is an in house position in Cape Town Central with flexible hours. No telecommuting allowed.
