My Dad divided several rooms with drywall (I helped, was about 16 at the time).

No roach issues and now 19 years later it still looks and works perfectly.

Yea, I've been searching and there does not seem to be alot of concern about cockroaches if you're in the industry.
I have chatted to a few people and they all say the same thing, lay carbolic acid at floor level in the wall and you'll never have a problem with insects.

I was reading about a home-grown wall solution in popular mechanics while taking the 5 o'clock regular in "the library" this morning.
Can't think of what it was called exactly, but it's a system of hollow, interlocking bricks that you can buy ready-made or DIY moulds

... will check when I get home tonight and let you know, couldn't find anything on the PM website
Greenbuild do some awesome looking complete houses from 'sip's - insulated panels.

I've gotten the best prices from a number of places: penny pinchers, Builders and a couple of other no name hardware's.

Almost any of the building supplies will stock some form of it...

You can also go to DuroBuild in Pinetown for the stuff as well.

I got a quote from them recently for 4mm cement board (1200x3600) for 300 inc vat.

Yeah. not looking for ceiling board, but drywalling. Its 12mm's thick instead of the 6.4 for ceiling. It has a thicker paper sleeve as well. Oh, it's called drywalling.
