This modem doesn't allow you to enter your full telkom username, what on earth can i do, i updated the firmware but the latest version doesnt work, when you try to unzip it... This thing is really frustratiing me gosh...

D-link? I think I've worked with one of these. The field where you enter the username seems as though it's not accepting it, but just type the info and save the settings. See if it connects. Pretty sure it caught me for a foul one too

Set bridged mode for now and use PPPOE until you sort it out.

It doesnt allow you to insert your full username, it stops you eventually...
And im not sure about bridged mode can you please explai...
Like I said, continue typing as it seems it stops you, but it doesn't. I might be wrong, but give it a shot.

I searched through 192.168.1.1 for about an hour and couldnt find anywhere to enter the username and password, when u initially enter it it prompts you for the admin/admin combination but i cant find where you put your telkom one in..ill check wan again
Go to "WAN" then there should be a table with a row of entries. Click the edit icon and it will load a page, keep pushing next till you get to a page where you can enter your username and pass.

Lol. Just shows my troubleshooting skills or rather my psychic abilities are failing me. Who would have thought you were not in the router control panel/gateway?
