Hello ,

when trying to compare the various DSL complete offers there are two open questions left.

Self install: do the bundles have a self install option?

Installation times: the providers mention their dependency on telkom in regards to the installation times. Can they apply more pressure than an individual ie. is the experience of folks here in the forum that you get your ADSL connection faster than as if you would apply as an individual at telkom?

kind regards
andy

The bundles are all self-install

the previous 2 installations that I managed for my clients too between 2 and 3 weeks. It is most definitly quicker to order it thought the ISP and NOT TELKOM.

Not sure about that... 2 weeks in to order through ISP and they don't even have a Telkom reference number...

I couldn't even get a line, applying through the ISP - they said that Telkom said that my exchange wasn't enabled. Applied through Telkom, and it went through smoothly.

Most people want to diss Telkom just for the sake of it, compared to Telkom, MWEB is 1000 times worse. Over the years i have set up numerous adsl accounts for clients, and the least frustrating (sounds funny saying it), is Telkom. All ISP's gets their adsl lines from Telkom, getting it done trough another ISP, just means you have to deal with a middleman.

A middleman with a priority line to Telkom.

I agree with you on Mweb, they are really suckey lately (past 2 years)
