DSL Data account cancellation

I'd like to cancel my Afrihost service, effective 1 March 2010.

Based on all the mixed reports about their billing/support services, I'd like to know the most effective and hassle-free way of cancelling.

Also, can't find much on the site about any notification periods - can I cancel now for next month or will I have to wait until April?

Shot for the help

(Sorry Afrihost, nothing personal... while I appreciate everything you're doing for SA broadband, the WA special really cant be beat right now)
 
Update: I've cancelled through the online Afrihost DSL console, selected the effective date as 28-02-2010.

All looks good, but I'd like an Afrihost representative in the forum to please acknowledge the cancellation, and it's effective date.
(and to promise me that I won't be billed next month :-P)
 
For one, you won't be allowed to cancel if it's the last few (5?) days of the month as they disable the cancel button.

I've cancelled on several occasions due to being out the country and on both occasions, I was required to give 1 month's notification period. On the second try, I was charged for a second month but after sending a customer support request, had my credit card refunded.

Not sure if it's changed since so good luck (and congrats on getting one of those WA accounts)
