compared to our 192? if it came down to it, i would prefer cost over speed anyday. even if telkom limited its dsl offering to 512k at the cost of what they're paying in india, i would take that over a 1mbps offering at the cost of a mortgage.

Hi there! i am back! I spoke to the owner .... wat little i could :) he said he was using Tata Indicom dsl256. It feels so much like our 512k. There are faster speeds but i think 256k is the most worth it.

The main thing abt it is that, I was literally in the middle of no where .... the fact that they would provide a line to a place like that shows that TATA are'nt as selfish as telkom. We should remember tho that Mumbai alone has 11 million ppl. So low prices will pay off with the volume of users.

Tata was also offering call anywher in india for Rs1 a min.... That comes to 15c a minute ....

Anywayzzz jet lag is still affecting me... Just thought that I would inform the SA world of what type of company Tata is over ther

I think killing ourself would be easier than paying Telkom each month.

awesome dude - good to hear from people out there - in the real world. Hope Tata bring their good indian business practices here - maybe show telkom a thing or two :p

If im not correct isnt Tata Indicom one of the investors in the new SNO?
Tata is a primary investor in the SNO - somebody please give us the percentages? :o
