I've recently activated my line for 4mbps DSL :D Here's my problem:

I cant connect. Simple as that. This is as far as I got

I can ping, but it only resolves the Name Server IP, no further than that - so afaik theres an issue from there after
I've tried PPPoE and Bridge Mode on the router, with both options the same thing happens
DSL light is stable, and the line is active on the Telkom Exchange

Only thing I can think of is manually inputting a specific DNS and seeing if that resolves things
Any suggestions guys?

Ping telkom website gives what result?

Move your line to WebAfrica.

I moved mine before I upgraded. Had some issues, got hold of them, sorted out quick-quick.

You need to verify your ADSL access by going to http://www.telkom.co.za/verifyadsl

I may be wrong here - but did WA not have a product that "locks" your account to a specific physical DSLAM? I know Cybersmart does.
So, in other words, your account can only connect via a certain DSLAM - this is to prevent people from "stealing your bandwidth".

Now, if that is the case, Telkom may have moved you to a different PORT/DSLAM or whatever in the upgrade. Therefore, no connection.

Ask WA.
