Dsl line speed upgrades

I'm reading so many conflicting comments lately, are there any adsl line speed upgrades coming? Or is it only for fibre?

I personally think it is a marketing strategy. Kill the speed on ADSL to get more consumers moved to FTTH. I have been experiencing ADSL connectivity and speed issues since last week Thursday. Our friends at telkom are still investigating. And are very sorry (sic) for the inconvenience caused.....

From my side I'm just waiting for the final confirmation of the changes that will take affect.

The moment that we get that update we'll definitely update our Clients.
