DSL Not Working!!

just one thing dont throw it away just yet, maybe someone knows something i dont?
And buy a surge protector!

I got a damn surge protector as well as that elpu or whatever that telkom gave me. I'll try that now clipse...

woohooo Clipse you did it I can connect to 10.0.0.2 now but I cant connect to my normal dsl. How do I do that now?

Well I still cant connect to the net with it and when I tried running that setup program from telkom it said the pc couldnt detect the modem, but the ping worked and I can access it from IE on 10.0.0.2

I think you may have "reset" the router lol or it "reset" the data by itself..

This means, you will have to enter your isp data etc on the router again.. If you used pppoe to connect via the router from a windows "dialup"-type account.. You will now have to configure your router in bridge mode, which you can find under isp setup on the marconi afaik.

ps. my suspecion is that the router memory got cleared with the power outtage.

I dont know what I did but when I connect to dsl it looks like dial up connection. Where is ISP setup??

yeah try that whole unplug routine i mentioned earlier, that is what normally happens to mine. go to 10.0.0.2 and click on adsl, see what it gives you

Yep your memory got cleared, your router is reset in "routermode" and to use the windows dialup thingie, you need the router in "modem aka bridge mode"

Im not 100% sure where on marconi you can click and enable this, maybe someone with marconi router can give him step-by-step here.

You guys rock!!!
I am using my 512 dsl right now!!!!
Thank you guys soooo much, I really appreciate it

its @ 10.0.0.2 click on WAN, then submit, then under Encapsulation choose bridged ip llc
