Peeps, am a bit of a noob when it comes to routers.

I'm looking for wireless at least 300 Mbps, but that can also be a modem. In other words I need a wireless router that connects directly into my DSL hard line and can transmit wi-fi.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Three best options in my opinion: Cisco Linksys WAG120N, D-Link DSL-2750, Netgear DGN2200

I would suggest getting a separate dsl modem and then a router that suits your needs. There has been a thread previously on this. Did you manage to find it?

D- Link products while a little expensive offer lifetime warranties while the product is in production. TP- Link is another brilliant brand that is very affordable and usually comes with hacker friendly hardware. When looking around for a router. You could buy a really expensive one or just two cheaper ones and get all the range you need. Also you could get one that is supported by custom firmware and it gets you features only expensive routers have.

I have the Netgear DGN2200 awesome router, it also take a 3G USB if you decide not to use ADSL and everyone can still connect through the wifi to use you 3G card. i personally dont use the 3G option instead i plug in a External HDD and it gets treated like a NAS. with anyone able to access it on my network, even from out side if you set it up properly.

Just a quick note about this post: The DGN2200 doesn't support 3G, but the DGN2200M does. I'm not sure whether the plain 2200 is still sold, but if you're looking for the 3G failover and do go for this option, be sure it's the 2200M.

Side-note: The DGN2200 may support 3G with a firmware update, but thats pure speculation.
