Hi,
I am trying to create a DSL (Durban) to DSL (George) VPN.
In Durban I have computers with private IP range 192.168.x.x.
In George I have computers with private IP range 10.10.10.x
In George the ADSL modem (4 ports Marconi from Telkom) is on the 10.10.1.x network and there is a router / VPN server in between the private and public network.
In Durban the ADSL moden (4 ports Marconi from Telkom) is on the 192.168.x.x network. (no network between)
In George:
The VPN server is now on the 10.10.10.x network and the 10.10.1.x network.
I can login from inside the private network through a single NIC machine to the 10.10.10.x adapter. If I use 10.10.1.x adapter, I get "Verifying Username / Password" for a while then error 721. (Remote computer is responding)
In Durban:
I go to a single NIC machine (which is on the 192.168.x.x network) I cannot log in via the LAN (ADSL modem). However if I use a dial up modem, the machine logs in and I can work no problem.
The only problem is, obviously I dont really want to be paying telephone costs to the internet when we have an ADSL connection.
How do I log in to a VPN through the LAN on a single NIC machine?
Thank you
Andrew
