Four days and counting. Tried to phone Telkom today, gave up after an hour on hold. Many of my clients are down as well.
 
So, today I get:

Following message sent to XXXXXXXXXXXX: Dear Customer your report reference XXXXXXX was restored. If the problem still exists please contact Telkom on 10210 for Residential or 10217 for Business Services. Alternatively use http://residential.telkom.co.z Thu Jan 16 08:00:59 SAST 2014

I think yay, its restored, but I noticed my username is not authenticated so I do a line test:

The line has been down since the ticket was opened. Which ever techie handed this out right lied. He didnt even test. He just accepted the ticket then did absolutely nothing about it. Several days later he closes the ticket.

What frustrates me, is while this employee was being deceitful, I cant open another fault report on that line. So several days wasted for nothing.

Its true, Telkom does not have customers. It has hostages.
