DSLAMS moving closer to you

Okay well things seem to have changed a bit. My figures now seem to be hanging around the following:

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 512 kbps 256 kbps
Line Attenuation 62 db 15.5 db
Noise Margin 9 db 12 db

The downstream noise margin seems to be hanging around 9 - 12db, but sometimes dips lower.

@Yotch: The router reports that the hybrid selected is 3.
 
So I was wondering whether I should upgrade from 512kbps to 4mbps so I checked my line attenuation stats, what a surprise. I must be really far away from the DSLAM.
With a 61dB downstream LA, using the Fremnet tool as a guide, you will get a max of 2350Kbps or max of 2412Kbps (ADSL2+). You're roughly 4,417km from the exchange.
So yes, upgrading to 4Mbps would probably be a bit of a waste.
 
I wouldn't even mind 2mbps, but I just don't think the line will be stable.
 
Ok now I know what it looks like too :D Since that grey box is about 50-60 meters from my house, it would explain my figures :
Line Attenuation 7.0 db 3.5 db
Noise Margin 30.3 db 31.0 db
 
Now that is only 400m away from my house but my figures are

And what is that "teledata" cabinet on the left?
 
dslam is on my yard, i can just go stuff them and ride over it ;)

I must say, i live like in the middle of our town, and i dont have a clue where the dslam is. with my line stats, it must be damn close?

as a matter of fact, i havent seen anyone's stats this low? just did a quick comparison, if adsl2+ would come out, i'd get 23790kbps, aka 24 MB/s !!

@Aqox: Your figures are great but still not as good as Luke7777 from earlier in the thread. If you have a TI AR7 based router you might be able to determine what kind of DSLAM you are connected to (see the details on page 2). Your noise margin is probably a bit low for 24Mbps!
