Any of you guys do videos with your DSLR's?

- Any paid/free software recommendations for editing videos with video stabilization option.

I don't do video with the DSLR, I use the handycam for that.
I use Adobe Premiere Pro, all the free/other tools suck and require a lot more work

I use iMovie… I've got final cut but IMovie has always done what I needed it it do.

For basic editing, I like KDEnlive. Native to Linux, but may be available for Windows. If you just want to take it for a spin you can try the VirtualBox images (https://kdenlive.org/user-manual/downloading-and-installing-kdenlive/virtualbox-images).

On Windows there is VirtualDub. I am not crazy about it, but it has a pretty decent stabilization plugin called Deshaker (http://www.guthspot.se/video/deshaker.htm).

I have not really gone looking for newer/better tools in the last three years, so keep in mind that my recommendations may be somewhat dated.

As to why I use Premiere:

1) It makes the job easy
2) It has presets, for encoding, without these it would be a case of trial and error, especially for Youtube
3) It is powerful
4) It can accept everything from a crappy camera. My beloved Samsung camera was stolen and the insurance replaced with with a Panasonic, that saves the files in a VERY ODD format, and with Dolby crap... it accepts that, where other programs crash dead because of the AC-3
