A couple of weeks ago, I assume it must have been after some or other Multichoice upgrade, both our 1100 decoders had the sound set to below half for each channel.

Now, I know that one can make permanent sound changes to each channel throught the setup.

My question is, if it is possible to set the sound on all the channels to the maximum level en masse and not individually as it is very time consuming?!?

I don't believe that there has been a recent release - my 1100 decoder is still on release L18. So it is a mystery as to why channel sound levels get adjusted (it happens on mine as well although no en masse). I dont believe though that there is a blanket manner in which to adjust the levels however and they have to be done one at a time.

As far as I know, you can set the sound level for each channel, without going into the setup. If you press OK while the soundbar is still showing on the screen, the sound will be set for that channel.

Wow thanks for this.

It was very irritating while watching TV at night in the bedroom with the wife sleeping. Sometimes out of the blue when you change channel its loud as hell!

My wife actually showed me this trick. :D Not sure if it works on all the decoders.

I have and HD-PVR and 1131.

Frankly I don't care about the volume issue of the PVR in the lounge, but in the bedroom...it cost me some :D

Thanks for the useful bit of info! Now all we have to do is learn how to reduce the volume on those &@*!** adverts cos it doesn't look like MC is about to reduce it anytime soon.
