Dstv 2 way splitter/tv link problem

Hi all, I installed a 2 way splitter. It feeds a tv in my room and one in the lapa. The tv link is connected to the tv in my room. The tv link works fine, but as soon as I connect the other tv to the splitter, the tv link switches off, when I disconnect it it goes back on. The splitter has power pass on both outputs. What could be the problem?

My knowledge isn't that vast but I had a similar issue and I assumed that the TV link is most likely not receiving enough power when the second TV is plugged into the splitter. You should either put a DC block on the lapa Tvs port on the splitter or get an active splitter (slx). An active splitter will enable you to run a second TV link in the lapa as well.
