Good day,

I'm currently residing in Europe and would like to watch some SA tv. Is here someone that is willing to share their DSTv premium account (with PVR access) so i can use it to watch DSTV online using DSTV Now?

I am willing to pay a few hundred rands every month...

Regards,
Jan

When I am travelling overseas, will I be able to watch DStv Now content?
No, DStv Now content is only available in DStv territories across Africa.
You will need to something that very few people have ever considered, vpn'ing INTO South Africa.

How many devices can I register to my DStv account?
You can register a maximum of four devices to your single DStv Premium, DStv Compact Plus or DStv Compact subscription. A maximum of two simultaneous viewing streams across your registered devices is permitted.

This means that you can either: be streaming two live TV channels OR stream two Catch Up videos OR stream one live TV channel and one Catch Up video.

What type of DSTV account does one need to get DSTV now? All im looking for basically is CN for my kids. Not interested in anything else. Based on this I might ask my folks to increase their subscription and I pay in the balance

Nope, dstv now even worked with my compact account. Not sure what package you need for cartoons though

With all the free (by that I mean legally free) documentary and general interest stuff out there to stream, why in the world would you subject your kids to the mind numbing carp on CN, Disney and the like? Even on Youtube there are thousands of hours of stuff for kids (and adults) to do with things laying around the home, from building cotton reel cars to blowing the swimming pool up.

Or just them a bag of corn flour, a cup of water and a mixing bowl. Guaranteed to keep the entertained for hours longer than any cartoon.

To be honest, kids spend way too much time on youtube. Its their main source of intake. However, it is very difficult to control that content intake. I basically want CN as a buffer for when I cant sit with them to control what they view. And yes, I hear you mention youtube kids...yeah, even I think youtube kids is crap.

Person I know well in Montagu shares my DSTV acc and streams it to his TV. However, signal is not HD though. At least it costs him nothing

Why would any share. Once you have their logins you can manipulate their subscription.

likewise. unless they were a v close friend or family member.just too risky otherwise.

Anyone know how many simultaneous logins are allowed per account
