Hi

I recently bought a new TV - and would now like to move my old TV to the bedroom. Luckily for me - the bedroom is only 1 wall away from the lounge.

I already have the following:
- HD PVR (already setup and working) in the lounge
- My old SD PVR (little silver one)

A few questions:

1. What else do I need?
2. Any recommendations on a good wall mount LCD bracket that moves (need to be able to push the TV up against the wall when not in use)?
3. What is the additional fee I need to pay to DSTV?

No additional fee, as the XtraView fee is included in the premium PVR subscription.
You need to get your satellite signals to the SD PVR, so you'll probably need a splitter, and wires for that.
Then you'll need another coax cable to act as the XV heartbeat cable.
That's pretty much it.

Depends on your set-up

You will most likely need:

1. A 4 Way-Multi-Switch (Similar to a splitter but used to split satellite signals).

2. Cables:you need to run the two current satellite feeds into the Multi-Switch (In other words you disconnect the current cables from the HD PVR and reconnect them to the multi-switch), this will enable you to have 4 satellite feeds, then you run each of the two outlet cables of the multiswitch to each decoder ( Two to the HD PVR and Two to the SD PVR). This will ensure both decoders receive a satellite signal.

3. Next you must run a cable between both decoders to carry the Heartbeat signal this is required for ExtraView to work. You connect one cable to the RF out of the SD PVR and the other end of the cable to the RF Out of the HD PVR.

4. Disable the TV link on the HD PVR but leave the TV link setting active on the SD PVR.

5. Call MultiChoice to set up ExtraView there should be NO extra charges.

PS: Since you will only be using two out of the three viewing points available., I would suggest you share the third point with a neighbour/tenant both of you can pay half the subscription. This will save you a lot of money, At the end of the day the third point wont even be used so why not make some money out of it:)
