Dstv app exits randomly to menu

I have a hisense tv and a Samsung tv and on both of the tv's live tv randomly exits to the menu. On the hisense it sometime just goes black.
I have 50mb/s download speed at the worst.
Anything to do?

I got an old Mibox and it kinda still works. Kodi and Matt/Slyguy's add-on is an option that worked very well.

The latest version of the Andriod app on the Mibox works ok, still got interface issues though.
