Is there a solition from Hisense and DSTV regarding the DSTV App which has stopped working on their TVs?

Hisense support came to the party. They sent me the latesr firmware version N. My TV was on version L and the online update option could not update to N.

All sorted.

Thanks for this info, I've been struggling with the new DSTv stream and Showmax apps which freeze/pause after 1 second.

Hopefully they can send me an update for the Hisense Q8600.

nope, buy a new tv

when in this situation instead of a new TV just rely on HDMI and get a TV box - a new TV is going to be close to 10 times more than a TV box which will set you back between R1000 R1200 and it will allow you to put in all the latest streaming apps with no issue - when that becomes too old for R1k or thereabouts just buy a newer model ...... the box will do everything a better/newer smart TV will do besides give you the screen so use your old TV as the screen and make it smarter by just using a good TV box
