I assume that R85 is for downloading the little sub selection of movies to your decoder? The online BO have a ton more content that i don't recall seeing on the decoder version...

No not at all. The fee is a fee payable for making use of PVR facilities on a PVR enabled decoder. It has nothing to do with BO at all. The charge is simply R 35 per movie downloaded. There is NO additional monthly charge payable, EXCEPT, in the case where a user has a PVR decoder and has not activated the PVR facilities before.

Yes! The difference is that the per movie charge is slightly more for NON-MC customers over the Internet.

Why?

Because why is crooked letter and you can't make it straight.

BO downloads to a MC PVR decoder is only possible IF you are a MC customer with an active subscription and a PVR decoder with PVR facilities enabled.

BO downloads over the Internet are possible for anyone provided you register on the BO site and have a positive balance in your BO account. The fee for NON-MC customer per movie is slightly more than R 35 per movie.

BO downloads for MC customers is R 35 per movie, regardless of whether to a decoder or over the Internet.

PS: A few of us have been trying to get MC to describe the service properly since it was launched. But the manner in which they document the service is so damn confusing that every time there is a change or an article in the media this same debate is triggered.
