DSTV Compact on PVR - Functionality

Hi All,
so I've been in hobo mode for over a year now and I'm back on my feet.
I'm looking at getting DSTV Compact.

I have an old school PVR standard decoder & want to know if recording DSTV Compact channels to the PVR is possible. I told my roommate that the PVR recording itself surely means you need to have premium bouquet?

So please advise if it's possible to record to the PVR with just the DSTV Compact package?

Yes but you need to pay the PVR access fee, which is something like R70 per month if I remember right, on top of your compact subscription.
