Hi there guys,

Posting on behalf of my brother who is in Mexico at the moment...
He's a fishing nut and wants to watch Inside Angling online but so far the only place I've found this is on DSTV's website where one needs to be a premium subscriber to watch:

How does the DSTv On Demand work? Can I use someones username and password and just login or is the content limited/capped/linked-to-decoder/linked-to-account & charged per view?

ISPs are not limited anymore. As long as you have an SA IP address it should work

I already have someone. The next hurdle for me is 384kbps (hopefully Telkom will help out with that soon).

streaming might be a problem then but im sure you can download the actual shows but you need to use dstvs own player - DRM and all that.

Got a friend or family with DSTV that's not streaming? Ask them for their smartcard number and register an account.

For months the streaming hasn't been working though, you need to use their Silverlight app to download and view.

I don't know anyone that has, which is why I turned to the forum to see if maybe someone here is a subscriber and isn't streaming...

on demand shows automatically downloads to your pvr if you are a premium subscriber

unless you decoder is turned off at night or you running a single LNB set up theres no reason for it not to download.
