hi recently i obtained a Multichoice decoder (DSD 720) from Somone in South Africa to use for FTA in NZ rightDecoder arived i found the 2 freqencys for the FTA here Locked on to the freqencys andget a message E04 Please insert smart card and i don't have a smart card to insert. what can I do is there a hack that will do it becuase those channels are FTA and they arn't encrypted the satellite is optus D1 and I am after freeview here is the link http://www.lyngsat.com/optusd1.html of the info IF i am doing somthing wrong can you advise me and if it really needs a smartcard where can I obtain a old old old DSTV smartcard to keep the thing happy thanks

I don't think a DSTV smartcard will help. It would have to be valid for a start or you will get more "messages". As far as I know the firmware is looking for transponders for the DSTV satellites at 68.5E, so if you point it at 160East it's not going to perform.

if it was looking for a transponder it would say no singal wouldn't it? i have pleantry of signal here i think 70% signal 82% quality
